Final Crisis

Final Crisis is a seven-issue comic book limited series published by DC Comics in 2008 and written by Grant Morrison. Originally DC announced the project as being illustrated solely by J. G. Jones; artists Carlos Pacheco, Doug Mahnke, Christian Alamy, and Marco Rudy later joined the series’ creative team. It directly follows DC Universe #0 after the conclusion of the 51-issue Countdown to Final Crisis weekly limited series.
Batman Last Rites

We continue the trip through Batman’s mind as Lump works his through Bruce’s memories. The task is simple enough: steal Batman’s memories and replace them with false ones. With a successful invasion, Batman’s “will” will be transplanted into a series of clones, creating the perfect army for Darkseid. But as you can imagine, Batman fights back with his unstoppable will which leads us to his ultimate fate in Final Crisis.
Batman – Battle for the Cowl

Batman: Battle for the Cowl is a three issue comic book limited series published by DC Comics. Written and penciled by Tony Daniel, the story details the chaos in Gotham City after Batman R.I.P. and Final Crisis due to Batman’s perceived absence and abandonment by the public. His disappearance is actually caused by the character’s apparent death at the hands of Darkseid in Final Crisis, which causes dissension in the ranks of his allies and enemies who fight for the right to become the new Batman.
Batman R.I.P.

“Batman R.I.P.” is a comic book story arc published in Batman #676-681 by DC Comics. Written by Grant Morrison, penciled by Tony Daniel, and with covers by Alex Ross, the story pits the superhero Batman against the Black Glove organization as they attempt to destroy everything he stands for. It has a number of tie-ins in other DC Comics titles that are not to be confused with the main story running in Batman.

Batman/Judge Dredd: Judgement on Gotham is the first of four Batman and Judge Dredd crossover comic books published by DC Comics and Fleetway in 1991. It was written by John Wagner and Alan Grant, with art by Simon Bisley.
The Dark Knight Returns

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is a Batman graphic novel mini-series written and drawn by Frank Miller and published by DC Comics from February to June 1986.
A sequel, Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again, was published in 2001. All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder, a prequel to the series began running in 2005. An additional prequel, Holy Terror, Batman!, was partially written and drawn during 2006-2008.

“Batman: Legacy” is a crossover story arc in the Batman comic book series, which is a sequel to another Batman story arc, “Batman: Contagion” and also serves as a follow-up to the “Batman: Knightfall” story arc.

The Sandman: The Dream Hunters

“The Sandman: The Dream Hunters” is a novella by English author Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano of Final Fantasy fame. The story is tangential to the The Sandman comic book series, and can be read without prior knowledge of the main sequence. It won the Bram Stoker Award for Best Illustrated Narrative. The story deals with a love affair between a Buddhist priest and a fox spirit or kitsune.

Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam! is an all-ages comic book series published by DC Comics as a part of its Johnny DC imprint. The series debuted in September 2008, and is written and drawn by Mike Kunkel.
